Criteria for Admission
Admissions to SLUH is based on consideration of many factors, including but not limited to:
- achievement on standardized tests (We seek students who score in the top quartile. That is, students with a National Percentile Rank of 77% or above in reading, language and math.);
- academic performance in grades 6, 7 and 8 (As and Bs in all subjects);
- conduct/effort in classroom;
- leadership potential (as demonstrated through the student's involvement in co-curriculars and community service);
- commitment to Catholic education;
- regular practice of faith; and
- a personal interview.
We encourage parents of a prospective student to discuss their son’s profile with us. Please contact Anja Schmelter, Director of Admissions, at (314) 531-0330 x2097 or at aschmelter@sluh.org to set up an appointment.
