Tuition Assistance
Tuition for the 2009-10 school year has been set at $11,750. This is $3,500 less than the actual amount that will be spent to educate each SLUH student during the school year.
Thanks to the generosity of alumni and other benefactors, approximately $1.625 million in tuition assistance will be available for the 2009-10 school year. Last year, more than 20 percent of SLUH students received assistance, with an average grant of about $6,000.
The use of technology at SLUH is included in the tuition. The pervasiveness of technology as part of our curriculum as determined by the instructors allows our young men to utilize a vast array of technology for their learning: laptops, Smartboard and projectors systems, and document cameras to name a few. Therefore, SLUH's deeply discounted tuition includes all expenses outside of books and a graduation fee. Certain elective activities may also charge modest fees to cover the cost of the activity.
Applying for Tuition Assistance
SLUH employs the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Company to process tuition assistance applications, though all tuition assistance awards are made by the SLUH administration. FACTS applications are typically completed online, though paper copies and Spanish language copies are available through SLUH. To apply for tuition assistance, click here.
Questions about the tuition assistance process should be directed to Craig Hannick at (314) 531-0330, ext. 298 or channick@sluh.org. Concerns regarding your financial circumstances, should they change, can be addressed to Mr. Hannick as well.
The deadline to apply for tuition assistance for the following school year is typically in April.
