2007 JV Water Polo
@ MICDS
SLUH dominated the first half of the game, then held on for a close victory over the MICDS Rams, 11-6.
Sophomores Trent Going, Will Derdeyn, and John Savio made sure the Jr. Bills got off to a good start, combining to score all 6 goals for SLUH in the first quarter. Derdeyn and freshman Dan Goeddel added one each in the 2nd, and SLUH took an 8-2 advantage into halftime.
However, defensive lapses plagued the second half, which allowed the Rams to make it a close game. Offensively, the team stalled as the team tried to score with someone other than primary 2M Savio, who was given restrictions on when he could score. Goalies Matt Hohenberger & Dylan Jungels played well, with many goals resulting from poor perimeter or counter-attack defense.
