2007 JV Water Polo
Marquette
The Jr. Bills returned to action with their first game since Spring Break, taking on Marquette. The Polobills had some problems adjusting to the 8-lane pool at first, but strong defensive play by the likes of freshman Player-of-the-Game Dan Goeddel helped the Bills kill any offensive threat put together by the Mustangs. The goalie tandem of Matt Hohenberger (so) and Dylan Jungels (fr) made 2 and 3 saves, respectively, with Jungels also adding an assist.
Offensively, the team was paced by Steve Sigman (5G, 2A), followed by Trent Going (3G), John Savio (2G), Rob Golterman (G), and Hohenberger (2G). Goeddel added 4 assist, and Will Derdeyn chipped in 1.
The Jr. Bills return to action tomorrow against Ladue in a split-squad (C and B) action.
