The Jr. Bills used some terrific swims and 4 event wins to capture the title at the Marquette Relays for an unbelievable 7th straight year. The school has not lost since Coach Fritz Long took over the program.
Much of the work was done on Friday at prelims, where the Jr. Bills qualified for the Championship heat in all but 1 event. On Saturday, SLUH maintained or improved their position in all 9 events, the highlight being a fifth-to-second move by the 200 Fr Relay.
The Jr. Bills captured 4 event titles: diving (Mick Dell'Orco, Ryan Berger, Collin McCabe), 400 Medley (Trent Going, Pat Nugent, Will Derdeyn, Dan Schmidt), 400 Free (Michael O'Neill, Steve Sigman, John Heafner, John Savio) and 300 Breast (Matt Hohenberger, Heafner, Nugent).
