2010 JV Water Polo
The Jr. Bills ran their record to 2-0 with a largely uneven, yet still convincing win over the Pioneers. On the strength of the team's Top 8 playing the first quarter, SLUH jumped out to a fast 1-0 off of Pieter Derdeyn's goal off the swim-off. Riding the wave of this goal, the Jr. Bills found themselves up 6-0 at the end of the first quarter.
However, the team encountered some difficulties as they tried to set up and work on their half-court offense, partially from their own inexperience and because of Kirkwood's rough defense. POTG Michael Savio managed to fight through the adversity to finish with 3 goals on 3 shots.
Defensively, Charlie Archer continued his terrific early-season play as a stopper while goalie Sean Sullivan allowed only one goal during his 3 quarters of play.
