Fall 2008
Crushing Defeat
The Jr. Bills felt deflated after the 6-5 loss to Mehlville. The team came out flat and was not able to make up for it in the later innings. Mehlville’s two 3-run innings were what hurt the Jr. Bills’ chances of making another comeback like they did against Chaminade. However, it almost seemed like they were going to make a comeback when freshman Robby Bertucci led off the top of the 7th with a double, but was unable to be driven in to score the tying run. This disheartening loss gives the Jr. Bills a 3-2 record going into a tough week against Vianney and Parkway West.
