Jr. Bills Bounce Back with Slugfest over Vianney, improve to 2-1 in MCC Standings
It didn’t take long for the Jr. Bills to turn things around on Monday as they crushed Vianney 12-2. The team started the day with a phenomenal pregame warmup, carrying them over into the battle with the Griffins. Contributions came from everyone on the offensive side with each player getting at least one hit and scoring at least one run. On the mound, Joe Schwarz had a dominating performance, giving up 5 hits and getting 4 strikeouts, all of which were looking. Unfortunately, Joe was unable to get the complete game due to a high pitch count, so sophomore Brian Kinealy came in to close it out. Coach Scott Gilbert said after the game, “It was one of the best games I have ever seen." This undoubtedly got the Bills back on track as they will attempt to keep this up as they face Parkway West tomorrow at 4:30.
