Germanese Drafted Second Round In MLS Soccer Draft
Joe Germanese of Duke University and a 2004 graduate of St. Louis U. High was selected in the second round by the New England Revolution in the recent MLS draft.
Germanese co-captain of the 2003 State Champion St. Louis U. High Soccer Team was also selected by the St. Louis Post Dispatch as it 2003 Soccer Player of the Year. Germanese began his college soccer career and Vanderbuilt but moved on to Duke University when the soccer program at Vanderbuilt was discontinued. As a member of the Revolution Joe will join former SLUH star and New England MLS MVP Taylor Twellman
