Kairos
Welcome to Kairos
"Its a wonderful retreat to give you a chance to get to know yourself better, your classmates better, and know God better." Father Tran., SJ
IndescribableKairos is unique among the retreats because it is student led. Typically there are six or more student leaders on Kairos, one of whom is called the “rector,” that is, the overall leader of the retreat. In addition, faculty and staff are also present to oversee and to participate in the retrat. But the only true way to discover Kairos is to try it for yourself.

A Look into KairosAt SLUH, Kairos is the most popular retreat with the upperclassmen; this year we expect 200 students to participate. What make Kairos so popular? Here are a few testimonies from those who have attended it. Kairos will forever remain a place of love, friendship, and joy. God's love shows itself through the constant feel of closeness between brothers while growing with each other and as individuals. At Kairos, we learn to live. Stephen Nelson ‘12 Kairos is absolutely amazing. It is a four day experience that can change your outlook on life completely. I came back feeling like a new man and wanting to make a difference in the world. Will Whitney ‘12 To me, Kairos was an amazing experience to not only grow closer to God, but closer to my brothers at SLUH. Ryan McHugh ‘12 To me, kairos is not only an escape from the outside world but a way to look for understanding in the depths of ourselves. We go in as ourselves and come out the better half of ourselves with strength to carry out what we have received. Evan Thornberry ‘12 |
