Wellness Club

Wellness Movie Night
Friday, Oct. 9th after the home football game

Within the Wellness Club at St. Louis U. High, more than 100 members of dedicated students meet to discuss health issues and events that promote wellness and healthy lifestyles.

Wellness Club Mission Statement

  • To raise student awareness about maintaining a healthy physical lifestyle that can exist without the effects of smoking, alcohol, and other drug abuse. In addition, we strive to promote proper nutrition, regular exercise, and care of each of our bodies.
  • To develop a social place where students with these desires can come and have fun without the use of alcohol or other drugs.
  • To teach participants in Wellness Club of the effects of not only drugs and alcohol on an individual’s lifestyle, but also healthy diet and exercises. To not only increase the education past the physical aspects of this dilemma, but also to apply it towards how it affects things our mental health such as our mentality, confidence, and emotions.
  • Finally, to encourage all members to dedicate all of our positive and healthy actions to the greater glory of God. We hope this will continue to influence other students to become not only more physically, mentally, and socially healthy, but also help them develop a healthy spiritual understanding as well.

These four aspects of the mission statement relate to the four characteristics that create a healthy lifestyle—as taught in our Health Curriculum—physical, social, and spiritual. It is our main goal, our mission, to help each other to grow in these specific areas to help promote wellness and health.
