Faculty Achievements and Activities
Latin teacher Mark Tychonievich was recognized with the 2007-08 Faculty Appreciation Award at a special mass offered for him on April 24th. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, and recently underwent surgery. Though he was not present to receive the award at the Awards Assembly on April 25th, he received an emotional standing ovation.
Mr. Tychonievich created a video address (above) in acceptance of the award for the Graduation Mass and Dinner on May 18th.
The Faculty Appreciation Award is voted on by the senior class and is presented in gratitude to the teachers at SLUH for all of their efforts toward the growth of their students, for excellence in the classroom as well as contributions outside the classroom.
