Alum Travels Globe, Promotes Solidarity

David Heimann '93 is nearing completion of a remarkable endeavor that aims to spread solidarity in the Catholic Church. At the end of this year, he will have visited 365 churches in as many days through 35 countries and five continents. As Heimann learns about the Church in various cultures, he is sharing his pilgrimage and insights through a concerted communication effort.

Heimann, a former member of the Alumni Service Corps, is the executive director of a not-for-profit organization called Ad Sodalitatem. According to its mission statement, Ad Sodalitatem "seeks to evoke solidarity in the Roman Catholic Church through prayer, education, and development of the poor by building personal relationships with Christians throughout the world."

To learn more about Ad Sodalitatem and Heimann's pilgrimage, visit www.adsodalitatem.org. The site features regular journal entries by Heimann, as well as photography that can be viewed through Google Earth.
