National Merit Scholars Named

Forty students from St. Louis University High School have been recognized for their outstanding academic promise as National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Scholars.

To become a semifinalist and eligible for scholarships from the National Merit program and its sponsors, semifinalists must maintain high grades, achieve a PSAT score among the top in the state, and complete an application and essay. Sixteen students from SLUH have been distinguished with this recognition. They include:

The honor of Commended Scholar is conferred on those whose Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) scores were among the top 5 percent nationwide. Twenty-four SLUH students have been recognized as Commended Scholars:
