Senior Makes USA National Junior Team

St. Louis University High School senior Daniel Miller swam so well at the Junior National Championships this summer that he has been selected to be on the 2009 USA National Junior Team. The National Junior Team is comprised of just 38 of the best high school swimmers in the country.

With this selection Miller will be representing the USA at the Pan Pacific Junior Championships in Vancouver, Canada in May 2009. Currently he ranks 5th in the nation for high school boys in the 200-meter freestyle, 10th in the 400-meter freestyle and 10th in the 200-meter butterfly.

Miller competes with the CSP Tideriders Swimming program in St. Louis. His coach, David McCrary, says, "Daniel embodies what I think a student athlete is all about. He is committed to both school and sport, loyal to his school and team, and supportive of family and teammates. Daniel's hard work, commitment and sacrifices have contributed to his achievements."

Miller's accomplishments have given him the opportunity to be recruited by the best colleges in the country for both academic reputation and swimming success.
