C-Football defeats Chaminade in MCC play

The C-Football team was in high gear Thurs. 10/9 as they defeated the Red Devils of Chaminade 42-20 in MCC action. After a defensive stop, the Jr. Bills on their second offensive play connected on a double pass from Paul Simon to Mitch Klug that covered 67 yds. for the score and the C-Team never looked back scoring 35 unanswered points in the first half to take a 35-0 lead at halftime. The Jr. Bills had a couple of turnovers in the early part of the third quarter that led Chaminade to cut the lead to 35-14 but the Jr. Bills responded with a Terek Hawkins 63 yd. touchdown run to seal the victory. The Red Devils scored late in the game to make the final score 42-20 in favor of the Jr. Bills. The C-team improved to 6-3 overall, which includes a 1-1 record in D-games, and finished the MCC with a record of 3-1. The last freshmen game of the season will be played on Thurs. 10/23 when the Jr. Bills take on the Panthers of Mehlville. Game time at SLUH is 4:00 p.m. Again, thanks to everyone who has supported the SLUH C-Football team this year.
