SLUH Defeats Defending Football State Champs
In a game that included no scoring in the first half, the St. Louis University High School varsity football team gained momentum to defeat DeSmet 24-6 at home on Friday, October 6th.SLUH kicker Max Wheeler grabbed the game's first points with a 36-yard field goal in the third quarter. With only 6:03 remaining in the game, SLUH scored three touchdowns. Willie Shipp scored on a 3-yard run, and Ronnie Wingo dashed for a pair of 10- and 43-yard touchdowns.
The Jr. Billikens are now 4-2 on the season. They face CBC away on Friday, October 13th at 7:00 p.m.
