Eight Seniors Sign Letters of Intent
Eight Jr. Billikens continued the proud tradition of athletics at St. Louis U. High on February 1 by signing letters of intent to continue their athletic careers through college. They participated in National Signing Day in the Danis Field House.
HockeyBills Continue to Excel
The varsity hockey team has their eyes set on the playoffs as they continue to achieve a high level of success throughout the regular season. Most recently, the Jr. Billikens, ranked #2 in the area, defeated top-ranked CBC 2-1 at Queeny Park.
Meyer '08 Selected in 1st Round of MLS Draft
Tommy Meyer ’08 was selected by league-champion Los Angeles Galaxy in the first round of the MLS draft on Thursday, January 12. Meyer is currently a Senior at Indiana University and has been a stand-out defender for the Hoosiers.
John Rooney Visits SLUH
As the City of St. Louis continues to bask in the glow of the Cardinals World Championship, it looks forward to the 2012 season. John Rooney, the Voice of the Cardinals, provided SLUH fathers a preview of the Cardinals’ upcoming season at the Fathers Club meeting on January 11.
SLUH on Sunday Night Football
SLUH has actively supported KEEN (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now), a nonprofit organization that provides one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and youth with disabilities, over the past few years. On December 11, KEEN won the Toyota Halftime Challenge on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, and SLUH was included in a video showcasing the charity’s work.
