Senior Project Spotlights
During January, the Class of 2012 assisted the elderly, the handicapped, the poor and others by contributing more than 30,000 service hours as part of Senior Project. They served at 75 sites locally and beyond in Honduras and the Philippines.
Christmas Drive Benefits 34 Families
The St. Louis U. High community wrapped up its Adopt-A-Family Christmas drive this past Tuesday. The drive, which was only held among the faculty last year because it coincided with Mission Week, is so far considered a success.
Inaugural Mission Week a Success
STUCO launched the first-ever Mission Week at SLUH to help raise awareness and funds for four special charities. Students and faculty participated in a fun lineup of activities from November 28th through December 3rd and, in the process, raised more than $14,000.
SLUH Lends Helping Hand in Camden
Nine Junior Billikens recently journeyed to Camden, NJ – the second poorest city in America – to attend the Urban Challenge Program, conducted by the Romero Center of the Catholic Diocese of Camden. They teamed up with young men from St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City and St. Joe’s Prep in Philadelphia (both Jesuit high schools) for a week of service, prayer, reflection and education.
