WELCOME TO ANOTHER EXCITING YEAR THAT IS SLUH MOTHERS' CLUB!
Once again, we have many wonderful events scheduled this year. The 84th annual SLUHlard Market Card Party is slated for 10/16/11. The 12th annual Mother-Son Mass and Lunch will again be held at the America’s Center on 10/23/11. Back by popular demand the Mother-Son Trivia Night will be held on 3/3/12. These are a few of the activities sponsored by the Mothers’ Club. The success of each of our events requires the participation of many moms. Click on the Mothers' Club mailing link above to find a copy of our program highlights and a volunteer brochure. Consider this opportunity to serve and become a part of the adventure.
As moms we encourage our sons to try new activities during their SLUH years. Likewise, I challenge each of you to share your talents with our community of moms. You will discover how the Mothers’ Club enhances what is SLUH TRADITION!
Susan Burke
Mothers' Club President 2011-2012
Background
The Mothers' Club at SLUH began in 1927 to help raise funds to repair tornado damage from that year. Since then, the organization has continued to be of vital service to SLUH. Through a variety of social, spiritual and fundraising activities, the Mothers' Club provides an excellent opportunity for mothers of current students to partner with SLUH in the development of their sons. Above all, the organization helps make SLUH feel like home to its young men.
Please note that moving forward all mailings will be sent electronically to SLUH moms. An e-mail will be sent with a link to each mailing in the Mothers' Club section of the Web site. To submit your e-mail address to the database, send it to moms@sluh.org.
