Thursday, April 19th began early for some “green” SLUH students. SLUH held its annual Car Free Day, which challenged students to get to school using alternative forms of transportation to reduce SLUH’s carbon footprint, even if only for a day.

Mission Week Raises Awareness, Funds

STUCO organized the second annual Mission Week at SLUH to help raise awareness and funds for four special charities. Students and faculty/staff participated in a fun and educational lineup of activities from February 27th through March 2nd and, in the process, raised $22,344.
HockeyBills to Face Off for State Title

The varsity hockey team completed a sweep of Oakville on Saturday, February 25th with a 4-2 victory in Game 2 of their semifinal series. The Jr. Bills now advance to the Mid-States Championship for the second time in the past four years.
Racquetball Team Wins Nationals

The SLUH racquetball team, which was undefeated during the regular season, recently earned their eighth state title in the past 11 years. The Jr. Billikens did not rest on their laurels, however, and continued their superior performance by winning the 2012 USA Racquetball National High School Championship in Portland, Oregon.
Freshmen Foster Faith, Fellowship

The Class of 2015 convened on Friday-Saturday, February 24-25 for the sixth annual freshman retreat. The experience helped plant the seeds of faith, fellowship and service for each freshman to cultivate over the next few years and beyond.
SLUH Welcomes Class of 2016

SLUH officially welcomed its newest members, the Class of 2016, on February 23rd. The 295 incoming freshmen and their parents gathered in the Si Commons for a welcome Mass and orientation. It was the first time that all members of the Class of 2016 came together.
SLUH Dedicates Si Commons

SLUH dedicated the Si Commons, a 14,000-square-foot center that will serve as a student cafeteria as well as a liturgy and multi-purpose event space, on Wednesday, February 8. The Si Commons is the final key component of VISION 2000, the largest capital campaign in the school’s history.
Eight Seniors Sign Letters of Intent

Eight Jr. Billikens continued the proud tradition of athletics at St. Louis U. High on February 1 by signing letters of intent to continue their athletic careers through college. They participated in National Signing Day in the Danis Field House.
Senior Project Spotlights

During January, the Class of 2012 assisted the elderly, the handicapped, the poor and others by contributing more than 30,000 service hours as part of Senior Project. They served at 75 sites locally and beyond in Honduras and the Philippines.
