Campus Ministry Hosts Evening of Food, Formation, Fellowship

Campus Ministry kicked off FFF (Food, Formation, Fellowship) Fridays, a new event series designed to strengthen spiritual community on campus. Each month, Campus Ministry will host a Friday evening of conversation, community building and food.

September 18, 2020 marked the first event. The evening began with dinner and conversation, followed by a speech by Senior Daniel Klarsch ’21 on the virtue of hope in a pandemic. Students then spread out on the field to take time for personal reflection before coming back together in small groups to share their thoughts. The night concluded with a cornhole tournament.

Campus minister Brian Gilmore ’02 feels the event addressed a real need present among the students. “I could sense that the night offered an antidote to a real longing for community that so many of us are feeling in these days of relative isolation," says Gilmore. "I found it to be a safe, inspiring and fun way for our students to spend a Friday night together."
