Global Education

St. Louis U. High embraces a global education model that illuminates the vision of Ignatius. We do so because a globally conscious education is both vital to succeed in our modern world  of interdependence, diversity and rapid change, but also because it provides the knowledge and understanding of culture, language, geography and global perspectives needed to carry out our mission of building Christ's kingdom. We ultimately aspire to molding the students of SLUH into Global Citizens who embody the Ignatian Definition of Global Citizenship:

Global Citizens are those who continuously seek to deepen their awareness of their place and responsibility in an increasingly interconnected world, both locally and globally; those who stand in solidarity with others in the pursuit of a sustainable earth and a more humane world as true companions in the mission of reconciliation and justice.

SLUH GLobal education Curriculum, 2022-2023Please review our Spring Break and Summer Programs. We are very pleased to offer them this current school year. Keep checking back as some programs will be added as their plans confirm. All programs are contingent upon meeting minimum numbers of participants and domestic as well as international travel guidelines and conditions. Please fill out a SLUH Global Education Program Application, linked at the bottom of each program page, by Nov. 1st if you have serious interest in participating in ANY of our programs.

Applying to the program(s) in which you are interested will help guide our planning process. Applications are not binding and can be made to multiple programs. We will communicate additional steps for each program as the planning/preparation process progresses.  Students should plan to commit to Spring Break programs in late November/early December, and commit to summer programs in early February.

"Our students return from exchanges with not just a greater fluency in their language of study, but most importantly a true appreciation for another culture's point of view, the ability to see the world not just with our own eyes but through the eyes of another."
