Global Education

St. Louis U. High embraces a global education model that illuminates the vision of Ignatius. We do so because a globally conscious education is both vital to succeed in our modern world  of interdependence, diversity and rapid change, but also because it provides the knowledge and understanding of culture, language, and global perspectives needed to carry out our mission of reconciliation and justice. We ultimately aspire to molding the students of SLUH into Global Citizens who embody the Ignatian Definition of Global Citizenship:

Global Citizens are those who continuously seek to deepen their awareness of their place and responsibility in an increasingly interconnected world, both locally and globally; those who stand in solidarity with others in the pursuit of a sustainable earth and a more humane world as true companions in the mission of reconciliation and justice.

"Our students return from exchanges with not just a greater fluency in their language of study, but most importantly a true appreciation for another culture's point of view, the ability to see the world not just with our own eyes but through the eyes of another."
