Are you ready to apply to SLUH?

Well, we are ready to learn what makes you YOU. We want to know about your achievements as a student, athlete, artist and/or a leader in the community. SLUH’s admissions process is designed to allow you the opportunity to learn about our school and for us to get to know you.

We welcome applications from qualified 8th grade boys in the fall of each year. We also consider Transfer Students in the spring of each year. Scroll down for more details on this process.

Freshman Application Process

The Freshman Application Process for the Class of 2023 will begin in August, 2018. Current eighth graders applying for freshman year should complete the following steps:

  • Create or log in to your SLUH Admissions Account
You must create a SLUH Admissions Account in order to log in and access your personalized admissions menu. Once created, you may log in to your SLUH Admissions Account to access the Online Application.
  • SLUH Online Application
Are you currently in 8th grade? Then, you are a SLUH Class of 2023 prospective student and must complete the SLUH Online Application accessible through your SLUH Admissions Account.
  • Family Interview
The Family Interview is an opportunity for you and your parents to meet with a member of the Admissions Committee. Our goal is to get to know you and answer all of your questions. Family Interviews are conducted at various times, Monday through Friday, until December 21, 2018. We strongly encourage both of your parents to be present. Upon submission of the Online Application, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions to schedule your Family Interview. We encourage you to apply early in order to have more options for interview time slots.
  • Catholic High School Application/Transcript Release (8th graders must complete this application in addition to the SLUH Online Application listed above). This application serves as a transcript release. Upon submission, elementary schools will forward your records, including grades and standardized test scores, to SLUH.

  • Scholastic High School Placement Test (HSPT)
As part of the admissions process, all 8th graders applying to SLUH will be required to take the Scholastic Testing Service's High School Placement Test (HSPT). We will offer this test on two dates:

    - Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
    - Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

The HSPT is a comprehensive test for 8th graders that provides national normative measures in the following cognitive and basic skills areas: verbal and quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, and language. The HSPT creates a baseline for the young men who attend our school as we witness their progress during their four years at SLUH.
  • Decision Letters
We will mail all letters in early February, 2019 (date to be determined by St. Louis Archdiocese). You will also be able to view your letter on your SLUH Admissions Account so make sure to save your username and password.

Transfer Application Process

Doing well in the classroom but recognizing that your current school is not the right fit? Realizing that SLUH offers what you are looking for in a high school? Then, apply to SLUH!

SLUH welcomes applications from qualified 9th and 10th grade boys in the spring and summer of each year. Students are accepted on a rolling admissions basis. We do not consider transfer students for mid-year enrollment or into grade 12.

This should include all school records including grades, standardized test scores, and attendance/discipline records. The Admissions Committee will review your transcripts to determine if you meet the academic criteria. If so, you will be contacted by the Admissions Office and asked to continue the next steps of the application process. To submit transcripts, please contact Ann Murphy at (314) 269-2099 or amurphy@sluh.org.
  • Create or log in to your SLUH Admissions Account
