Varsity: Competing in the 30th edition of the MCC Championships, we scored 19 points to claim bragging rights among our fellow Metro Catholic Conference schools. The race started amidst what seemed like the only rain in St. Louis, a torrential downpour that pummeled us all. Mid-race, the rain eased, and it even ended with the sun shining brightly and a rainbow filling the sky. The rainbow proved to be a good sign, as six of the seven "first team all-MCC" designations went to our runners, en route to a decisive outcome. The championship was our 27th in total, and 18th consecutive.

Individually, Sean Kellogg became our 13th student-athlete to earn the right to call himself "conference champion." Sean covered the course at Jefferson Barracks in 16:42, holding off an upstart sophomore from Chaminade for the individual title. Sean's teammates were not far behind, all six of them in places 3-9. Though standing water and muddy turns slowed down the times, any race that ends with medals for everyone and the honor of being MCC champions is a good day.

Junior Varsity: Putting our team depth on full display, we saw a barrage of Junior Billiken runners at the front of this race. We took the top 15 places overall, and 22 of the top 30 places and medals. By the third mile, sophomore Mason Scargall emerged from the SLUH lead pack and claimed his second race win of the year, with Will Riggan and Francis Alford hot on his heels.

Freshmen: The freshmen also continued their winning ways at MCC, equaling varsity's score of 19 to secure the win. In putting their seven scoring runners in the top 5, all seven beat any other school's #2 finisher. Gus Talleur took the win, though Logan Phillips and George Donahue made a hard charge in the final mile to make the winning margin tight. In total, the freshmen claimed 15 of the 25 medals, and they ran very well in the midst of tough course conditions to claim a 20th consecutive freshman MCC title.
