SLUH JV/C #1 - March 23 @ SLUH
The team battled and very cold and wet day to open the season. This was a great starting point for us and we hope to continue to improve throughout the season.

McCullough Douglass Invitational - March 26 @ Festus High School
It was a cold and windy day at Festus as the team battled a tough headwind down the homestretch throughout the day. Although it is very early in the season, several athletes had top 10 marks across the state. Ryan Wingo (200), Jacobi Oliphant (110 Hurdles), Eric Piening (High Jump), 4x200 (Brooks, Oliphant, Meehan, Wingo), and 4x400 (Oliphant, Parker, Seal, and Wingo).

Lindbergh Invitational - April 3 @ Lindbergh High School
SLUH set 4 meet records at the Lindbergh Invitational. Jacobi Oliphant broke the 110 hurdles record in 15.30. Ryan Wingo set two meet records in the 100 (10.64) and 200 (21.84). Mason Scargall broke the JV 1600 meet record in 4:40.55. The team was victorious in the varsity with 165 points over 11 teams. The JV finished 5th of 10 teams.

Eureka Invitational - April 8 @ Eureka High School
The weather conditions kept the sprinters and jumpers out of action, but we had several PRs from our distance, vaulters, and throwers. Grant Brawley broke the meet record in the 3200 and Mason Scargall broke the meet record in the JV 3200. Full results can be found here.
All Catholic Invitational - April 9 @ Chaminade
Competing as a V2 team (top non varsity athletes getting varsity experience), we were able to finish 4 of 11 teams in the All Catholic Invitational, hosted by Chaminade. Highlights include a 3rd place performance for sophomore Joseph Harris after battling injuries since football season and Tim Greiner breaking 10:00 in the 3200 for the first time. It was a great day for the depth of the program.

SLUH JV/C #2 - April 14 @ SLUH
Joe Harris and Kam Bailey showed off the depth of our sprint group and Tim Greiner and Carter Lowe led the distance contingent to several PRs. It was a great day for the program as delaying the meet for a day led to better weather and faster times.

Corey Seibert Invitational - April 16 @ Rockwood Summit High School
Another great day for the program! The team was victorious in the varsity division scoring 133.5 points. We again set 2 meet records as the 4x100 relay of Brooks, Wingo, Parker, and Oliphant run 42.95, breaking a record set in 2006. Anthony Zangara also broke the meet record in the JV 3200 in 10:16. In addition, in the race of the day, Ryan Wingo went under the old meet record in the 200 and ran a Class 5 leading time of 21.46.

Kirkwood C Invitational - April 20 @ Kirkwood High School
Due to weather, the Kirkwood C Invitational was cancelled.
Webster JV Invitational - April 21 @ Hixson Middle School
After delaying the meet for day due to weather, SLUH finished 3rd of 11 teams in the Webster JV meet. Highlights include a 1-2 finish in the 3200 by Mason Scargall and Charlie Murray and a 2nd place finish in the 100 by Elias Scott. Steffan Mayer debuted in the 300 hurdles with a second place finish.

Eastern Relays - April 22-23 @ University of Louisville
Lots of PRs and a school record highlight the two days at the Eastern Relays. We were event champions in the 4x800 (Brawley, LaBarge, Kellogg, Pashea), 4x100 (Harris, Wingo, Brooks, Oliphant), and 200 (Ryan Wingo). We also were medalists in the 100 (Ryan Wingo), 110 Hurdles (Jacobi Oliphant), High Jump (Eric Piening), and Triple Jump (Eric Piening). The 4x100 relay ran 42.02, which is a new school record.
Although we only took 10 athletes, we scored 47 points in the meet and finished 4th of 147 teams.

Ladue Invitational - April 23 @ Ladue High School
We ran a second varsity at the Ladue Invitational, one of the top meets in St. Louis and still scored 27 points, showing off the incredible depth of this team. We scored points (top 8) in pole vault (Eli Smith), triple jump (Andy Harris), javelin (Andrew Renaud), 4x800 meter relay, 110 hurdles (Conner Greninger), 1600 (Nolan Meara), and the 3200 (Justin Glass and Tim Greiner). Overall, we finished 14 of 23 teams.

Jim Farrell Invitational - April 26 @ Vianney
The V2 group finished 4th at the Jim Farrell Invitational hosted by Vianney. Medalists (top 3) include the 4x800 relay (Meara, Lowe, Greiner, Seal), Kam Bailey in the 100, Wyatt Seal in the 1600, Tim Greiner in the 800, Justin Glass and Carter Lowe in the 3200, 4x400 relay (Mayer, Meara, Greiner, Seal), and Andrew Renaud in the javelin.

DeSmet JV Invitational - April 28 @ DeSmet Jesuit
SLUH competed in the DeSmet JV Invitational and has winners in the 400 (DJ Jordan), 800, Lucas Rammacher), 1600 (Mason Scargall), 3200 (Charlie Gray), 4x800 (Gray, Murray, Evers, and Scargall), and Pole Vault (Mark Faulkner).

Dale Collier Invitational - April 30 @ Kirkwood High School
We competed with a limited varsity squad at the Dale Collier Invitational hosted by Kirkwood High School. We still had top 8 performances by Chris Brooks (100), Joe Harris (200), Grant Brawley (1600), Tim Greiner and Nolan Meara (3200), Conner Greninger (110 Hurdles), Conner Greninger and Keson Parker (300 Hurdles), 4x800 Relay (Meara, Glass, Kellogg, Seal), Ben Kean (Pole Vault), and Eric Piening (Triple and High Jump).

John Mohr C Invitational - May 2 @ Vianney
The John Mohr Invitational was postponed and SLUH was not able to make the makeup date.
MCC Championships - May 4 @ Chaminade
SLUH was victorious on both the varsity and JV levels at the MCC Championships. We scored 158 points in the varsity and 116 in the JV.

SLUH JV/C #3 - May 10 @ SLUH
The JV and freshmen teams went out with a bang against Marquette, DeSmet, and CBC. Event winners were Kam Bailey (100), Justin Glass (1600), Charlie Gray (3200), Steffan Mayer (300H), and Luca Rogan (Triple Jump).

Districts - May 14 @ Poplar Bluff High School
SLUH won the Class 5 District 1 title with 169 points. We qualified in 16 of the 19 events and have 2 athletes in 6 events. Here are the Sectional qualifiers.

Sectionals - May 21 @ Kirkwood High School (Throwing events at Ladue High School)
SLUH captured the sectional title scoring 113 points and qualified to the state meet in 10 events. Here are the state qualifiers:

MSHSAA State Championships - May 27-28 @ Jefferson City High School
SLUH takes 6th overall in the state championships. Congratulations to our All-State performances.

2021
SLUH JV/C #1 - March 25 @ SLUH
The weather was less than ideal as we battle rain so not all events were competed, but it was great to have Rockwood Summit and DeSmet Jesuit join us for the first track meet for the program in 670 days. Full results can be found here.
McCullough Douglass Invitational - March 27 @ Festus High School
The varsity were able to open their season at the McCullough-Douglass Invitational. We were able to have 4 individual event champions. Ryan Wingo won the 100 and the 200 with new state-leading times. Eric Piening won the high jump in 1.98 meters, which is just short of 6'6", and is the new state leader in the high jump. Baker Pashea won the 800 as well and is now ranked 3rd in the state. SLUH Varsity/JV Invitational - April 1 @ SLUH
Some highlights include our event champions, Conner Greninger in the 300 hurdles, Eric Piening in the high jump, Ryan Wingo in the 400, Baker Pashea in the 1600, and Sam Kean in the pole vault. We also had 2 relays that were champions as well with the 4x800 and 4x400 relays. In the JV division, Steffan Mayer won the 400. A shout out to Aidan Byrne who compete in 4 events, 2nd in the 200, 4th in the 400, and strong legs of both the 4x400 and 4x200.
Team-wise, we were varsity champions of the meet with 123 points. Second place was Lafayette with 74 points. In the JV, we finished 5th with 45 points (Lafayette won with 101 points).

Eureka Invitational - April 8 @ Eureka
With many of our athletes on retreat and it being a cold and wet evening, we were still able to take second overall at the Eureka Invitational. We were able to set meet records in 3 events. Ryan Wingo broke the record in the 100 and 200 and Eric Piening broke the high jump record. Full meet results can be found here.
SLUH JV/C #2 - April 14 @ SLUH
We welcomed 4 other schools to our second JV/C meet of the season. CBC, DeSmet, Rockwood, and Vianney joined us. While we had lots of great efforts, a highlight would be Steffan Mayer winning the 800 in 2:11.9 and Eli Smith getting over the 100 feet barrier in the javelin. Corey Seibert Invitational - April 17 @ Rockwood Summit High School
We were fortunate to win the 8 team Corey Seibert Invitational on Saturday at Rockwood Summit. We were able to score 165 points in the meet to hold off Kirkwood, who had 145.5 points. Of the 19 events, we were able to score points in 17 of them. Congrats to our event winners: Eric Piening in high jump, Andrew Harris in triple jump, the 4x800 relay of Glass, Kellogg, Meara, and Pashea, the 4x200 relay of Brooks, Byrne, Meehan, and Wingo, Baker Pashea in the 400, and the 4x400 relay of Pashea, Byrne, Piening, and Wingo. Webster JV Invitational - April 21 @ Hixson Middle School
Braving cold and windy conditions, the JV team finished 4th of 10 teams at the Webster Boys JV Invitational. Medalists include the 4x8 (Lowe, Cox, Purschke, and Alford), Bailey and Chaffee in the 100, Steffan Mayer in the 1600, the 4x1 (Bailey, Verzino, Salcedo, and Chaffee), Francis Alford in the 3200, the 4x4 (Mayer, Mittendorf, Simer, and Seal), and Trey Smith in both the long and triple jumps. Lafayette Invitational - April 24 @ Lafayette High School
The team battled more wet conditions to finish 2nd overall at the first ever Lafayette Invitational. Medalists were Sam Kean in the pole vault, Eric Piening in the high jump, the 4x800 relay (Glass, Kellogg, Freeman, and LaBarge), Conner Greninger in the 110 hurdles, Ryan Wingo in the 100 and 200, the 4x100 relay (Brooks, Byrne, Chaffee, Wingo), Baker Pashea in the 800, and the 4x400 relay (Pashea, Byrne, Piening, Wingo). Jim Farrell Invitational - April 27 @ Vianney High School
Our top JV athletes along with a select few varsity athletes got some good racing experience at the Jim Farrell Invitational, hosted by Vianney. This group was 5th out of 11 teams. Top 3 performances include the 4x8 (Alford, Seal, Lowe, Greiner), Greninger in the 110 hurdles, Kam Bailey in the 100, the 4x2 (Bailey, Greninger, Parker, Chaffee), the 4x1 (Bailey, Greninger, Parker, Chaffee), Steffan Mayer in the 400, Keshon Parker in the 300 hurdles, Tim Greiner in the 800, and Will Riggan in the 3200. Kirkwood C Invitational - April 29 @ Kirkwood High School
The Kirkwood C Invitational was rescheduled for Thursday, April 29 due to snow on April 20. The 4x800 of Moffett, Murray, Evers, and Zangara were event champions as well as Anthony Zangara in the 3200 and Eli Smith in the pole vault. Charlie Murray and Andrew Moffett medaled in the 1600 as did Dominic Novotny in the shot put, Ben Kean in the pole vault, and Eli Smith in the javelin. Full results can be found here.
DeSmet JV/C Invitational - April 29 @ DeSmet Jesuit
A majority of the team competed in the JV Invitational at DeSmet against DeSmet, Northwest, and Vianney. We had top 3 performances in the 100m (Salcedo), 200m (Salcedo), 800m (Mayer), 1600m (Greiner, Alford, Seal), 3200m (Jones, Purschke, O'Connell), 4x1 and 4x2 (Salcedo, Hopcraft, Baur, Verzino), 4x4 (Nesser, Arens, James, Siemer), 4x8 (Mayer, Barks, O'Connell, Purschke), and the long and triple jump (Trey Smith). Dale Collier Invitational - May 1 @ Kirkwood High School
The team finished 2nd overall at the 43rd annual Dale Collier Invitational, hosted by Kirkwood High School. Top 3 finishes included Ryan Wingo in the 400, Baker Pashea in the 1600, Conner Greninger in the 110 hurdles, the 4x400 (Pashea, Byrne, Meehan, Wingo), Eric Piening in the high jump, and Andrew Harris in the triple jump. MCC Championships - May 5 @ SLUH
SLUH was victorious in both divisions of the MCC Championships.
On the JV level, we scored 140 points to claim the victory. Event champions included Sean Chaffee (100m, 200m), Tim Greiner (800m), Carter Lowe (1600m), Nolan Meara (3200m), Wyatt Seal (110H, 300H), 4x400 Relay (Alford, Lowe, Mittendorf, Greiner), 4x800 Relay (Alford, Greiner, Meara, Zangara), Trey Smith (Triple Jump), and Eli Smith (Javelin). We also had top 3 performances in the JV division by Peter James (400m), Francis Alford and Will Riggan (800m), Will Riggan and Nicholas Purschke (1600m), Anthony Zangara and Brendan Jones (3200), Nathan Sewell (110H), Tyler Barks (300H), 4x100 Relay (Seal, Chaffee, Verzino, Baur), Trey Smith (High Jump), and Eli Smith (Pole Vault).
On the varsity level, we scored 164 points. Event champions include Ryan Wingo (100m, 200m), Baker Pashea (800m, 1600m), Justin Glass (3200m), Conner Greninger (100H, 300H), 4x100 Relay (Brooks, Bailey, Byrne, Wingo), 4x400 Relay (Pashea, Byrne, Mayer, Wingo), 4x800 Relay (Mayer, Glass, Hogan, LaBarge), Eric Piening (High Jump, Triple Jump), and Sam Kean (Pole Vault). We also had top 3 performances in the varsity division by Aidan Byrne (200m), Joe LaBarge (800m), Sean Kellogg (1600m), Daniel Hogan (3200m), Keshon Parker (110H, 300H), 4x200 Relay (Brooks, Bailey, Meehan, Byrne), Andrew Harris (Triple Jump, and Corey Luaders (Javelin).

SLUH JV/C #3 - May 11 @ SLUH
What a great night for so many of our athletes at our final JV meet of the year. A few highlights: Sophomore Sean Chaffee wins the 100m in 11.5, and takes second in the 200m in 23.5. Chaffee and sophomore Kam Bailey (who took 4th/3rd in the 100/200) had great duels in both races. 60 athletes raced the 1600m over three heats, and junior Francis Alford took the win in 4:43. Sophomore Nolan Meara and freshman Anthony Zangara were not far behind in 2nd and 3rd. Congrats to sophomore Cody Cody and freshman Charlie Murray for their first sub-5 in the 1600. Freshman Dylan Freeman, after two weeks of no running due to a sprain, returned in the 800m, taking 2nd in 2:09. Sophomore Will Riggan was close behind in 3rd. Sophomore Tim Greiner took the win in the 3200m in a strong solo effort of 10:23. Sophomore Nick Purschke took 3rd, sneaking under the 11-minute barrier with a 10:59, and sophomore Lucas Rammacher pushed through some nagging knee pain to finish the first 32 of his career. Sophomore Wyatt Seal ran the 100m and the 200m tonight, concluding a season where he ran every race/relay at some point (except the 3200). Sophomore Trey Smith competed in all three jumps tonight, and took second in the high jump. Freshmen Eli Smith and Ben Kean went 1-2 in the PV. The night, and the JV season, concluded with a ferocious 4x400m where three SLUH relays battled strong teams from Webster Groves and Marquette.

We had a very successful District meet that ended as meet champions by 78.5 points. We were able to qualify in 16 of the 19 events. Congratulations to our sectional qualifiers!

Congratulations to all of our state qualifiers. We qualified to the state meet in 10 events and we were able to score points in 5 of those events. Congratulations to these all-state athletes. Their efforts scored 28 points for 11th place overall.

The Jr. Bills kicked off the season by hosting fellow MCC teams in CBC and DeSmet Jesuit as well as KIPP St. Louis. This was the first meet for many new track athletes and a great learning experience. Click here for results.
McCullough-Douglass Invitational (V)
March 23, 2019 - hosted by Festus High School
The varsity team opened their season at the McCullough-Douglass Invitational hosted by Festus High School. This was an important step in the start of the season as we now have marks for everyone to improve upon throughout the season. The meet was highlighted by Baker Pashea, who as a freshman, ran the fastest leg of the 4x800 and anchored the 4x400 to second place. Christian Wallace-Hughes finished 3rd in the triple jump with a new PR of 41-3 and finished fourth in the long jump. He also anchored the 4x100 and passed two teams down the final straightaway. Lucas Rackers ran the what is at the the time the fastest 3200 in the state in 9:29.11. Full meet results can be found here.

Eureka Invitational (V/JV)

The Eureka Invitational was a great meet highlighted by some strong performances including Lazarus Williams 800 of 1:55, which is now the #2 time in the state of Missouri. Other highlights from the meet included Eric Piening jumping 5-8 in the high jump and Jay Duda winning the 200. Full results can be found here.
All-Catholic (V2)
April 6, 2019 - hosted by Chaminade High School
The All Catholic Invitational was a great opportunity for athletes to get varsity experience. The biggest highlight of this competition was Lucas Pitti in the pole vault. He increased his PR 1 ½ feet to 11-6 during the meet. Reid Jackson was surprised to find himself in the 4x800 relay due to the illness of Ryan Kramer, and ran a great first leg of 2:08. Gorilla Relays (V)

5 student-athletes represented SLUH at the PSU Gorilla Relays, hosted by Pittsburgh State University. This was a great experience for each athlete to compete against some of the best athletes from southwest Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Results for SLUH events can be found here.
Corey Seibert Invitational (V2/JV)
April 13, 2019 - hosted by Rockwood Summit High School
A majority of the program competed in the Corey Seibert Invitational, hosted by Rockwood Summit High School. While missing some teammates for the ACT and the Gorilla Relays, the varsity finished 7th of 17 teams. The JV (limited to only freshmen and sophomores), finished 4th of 18 teams. Kirkwood C Invite (C)
April 16, 2019 - hosted by Kirkwood High School
Kirkwood hosted a large freshmen invitational that had unlimited entries for all freshmen. The team took 9 of 12 teams at this invitational. A highlight of the meet was Eric Piening winning the high jump. Full results can be found here.

The Phil Brusca Invitational included 73 teams this year. SLUH was fortunate enough finish 6th on the day. A result of note was the 4x800 meter relay, which ran 7:59, the fastest time in the state at this point. Full results can be found here.

SLUH took home 5th from over 30 teams at the Dale Collier Invitational, hosted by Kirkwood High School. Medal winners (top 5) included Matt Kennedy (high jump), Carlo Pitti (pole vault), Nate Bischof (long jump), Christian Wallace-Hughes (triple jump), Lazarus Williams (400), Tilahum Murphy (300 Hurdles), Patrick Hetlage and Lucas Rackers (800), Jay Duda (200), and the 4x400 relay of Perry, Hetlage, Rackers, and Williams. What a great end to our JV and Freshmen season! We welcomed DeSmet Jesuit, CBC, and Marquette to our track for a meet that focused on individual events with only one relay, the 4x4. Full results for the meet can be found here.

The track and field team qualified to state in 6 events after qualifying to Sectionals in 8 events. The highlight of the day was the new school record in the triple jump by Christian Wallace-Hughes. His jump of 45-6.5 bettered the old school record of 45-3 from 1977. Full results from the day can be found here.

State Championship (V)
May 25, 2019 - hosted by Battle High School
A school record and an individual state champion! Due to a tornado damaging Jefferson City High School, the Class 5 portion of the state meet was moved to Battle High School in Columbia. The 4x800 relay of Patrick Hetlage, Lucas Rackers, Charlie Perry, and Lazarus Williams finished 2nd in a school record time of 7:45.70. Additionally, Lazarus Williams won the 800 meter run in a Class 5 record of 1:53.29. Other results include Lucas Rackers 5th in the 1600 (All-State), Patrick Hetlage 9th in the 1600, Lucas Rackers 4th in the 3200 (All-State), Charlie Perry 13th in the 400, and Christian Wallace-Hughes 13th in the triple jump. Overall, the team finished 11th overall with 27 points. Full results can be found here.

Lindbergh Invitational (V/JV)

The varsity finished as co-champions of the Lindbergh Boys Flyer Classic, scoring 117 points and sharing the top honors with Lafayette. Last week at Festus, Lafayette defeated SLUH by 43 points. This was a great finish for the team. The JV team finished 5th in their division scoring 67 points. Results can be found here.

A second group of varsity athletes competed at the Dan Sebben Invitational, which was hosted by Webster Groves High School. This meet was highlighted by strong winds and wet fields, but we were able to battle and gain great experience for later in the season. Results of the meet can be found here.

State Championship (V)
May 25-26, 2018 - hosted by Jefferson City High School
The team finished the season with 2 all state performances in the 4x800 meter relay and the 800 meter run. Both events finished in 3rd place. The 4x800 meter relay of Patrick Hetlage, Paul Burka, Charlie Perry, and Lazarus Williams ran a time of 7:51.40, the second fastest time in school history. Lazarus Williams also ran the 800 in a time of 1:55.60. Full state meet results for Class 5 boys can be found here.

This was a great first meet with so many new athletes competing against our conference foes from DeSmet Jesuit and CBC.
Festus Early Bird (V) - March 25, 2017
The Festus Early Bird Invitational was the first varsity meet of the season. The team finished 5th of 19 teams.
MCC Relays (V) - March 28, 2017
SLUH takes the MCC Relays team title with lots of great performances around the board.

This was the first of two JV meets hosted this year by Webster High School. The team took 5th out of 9 schools.

The Jr. Bills were victorious against their Catholic rivals at the All Catholic Invitational. There were lots of great performances as we are heading into the middle of the season.

The Freshmen team took part in their first invitational at Kirkwood. The team finished 4th in a very close team race.
Webster JV (JV) - April 18, 2017
The JV team competed at Webster Groves for the 2nd time this season. The team finished 6th of 13 teams with some great individual performances.
Kansas Relays (V) - April 19-20, 2017
The program entered 3 relays into the Kansas Relays as well as 3 individual events. All 3 relays finished in the top 3, including a school record in the DMR as well as Jayson Ashford finished 2nd place in the 100 meter dash.

We had several PRs at the Jim Farrell Relays hosted by Vianney. The team finished 5th of 14 teams.

The freshmen team finished 2nd at the 47th Annual Vianney Freshmen Invitational.

SLUH hosted our third JV/C meet of the season. This meet did not include relays so that individuals could focus on personal bests.
MCC Championships (V/JV) - May 4, 2017
SLUH won the MCC Championships for the 5th time in-a-row and 11th time in the last 12 years. The JV team was also victorious.
District Championship (V) - May 13, 2017
The team battled the heat at Parkway South and qualified to sectionals in 11 of 19 events and won 5 events.
Sectional Championship (V) - May 20, 2017
The program qualifies 11 student-athletes in 8 events to the state championships.
State Championship (V) - May 26-27, 2017
The season ends with Roman Lipinski All-State in the 800 (4th Place) and the 4x800 of Roman Lipinski, Patrick Hetlage, Paul Burka, and Lazarus Williams finishes 3rd for All-State honors.
