One World Club
Who We Are
We are a group of young men who share an interest and appreciation for languages and cultures. We are keen on experiencing cultural diversity and gaining awareness of national and international issues. We understand this world needs leaders with conscience, competence, compassion, and commitment and we want to rise to this challenge.
Global Citizenship: An Ignatian Definition
Global Citizens are those who continuously seek to deepen their awareness of their place and responsibility in an increasingly interconnected world both locally and globally; those who stand in solidarity with others in the pursuit of a sustainable earth and a more humane world as true companions in the mission of reconciliation and justice.

What We Do
We promote, advocate and advance initiatives in collaboration with the Global Ed program and other clubs. Some of our events involve, among others, regular club meetings to learn about important topics, guest speaker events and welcoming activities for international students. Following are upcoming topics and activities:

INTRO TO HUMAN RIGHTS
What are human rights? Can you name some? Why are they important? We will take a look at history to learn how human rights originated. We will review the Universal Declaration of Human Rights created by the United Nations in 1948.

THINK GLOBALLY
This year, we will center our attention on 2/3 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We will discuss how these rights manifest or should manifest themselves in our global community.

ACT LOCALLY
Second semester will be a time to look at our local community. In doing so, we will discuss how we can promote specific articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights not just locally, but worldwide.
