Describe what you're working on and/or what you're most proud to have accomplished.
I am currently working at the intersection of  law and housing/urban development to encourage the equitable and sustainable development of post-industrial cities. I am most proud of helping develop the capacity of my former organization - Metropolitan St. Louis Equal Housing & Opportunity Council  - in its mission to ensure more equitable housing opportunities for often-marginalized communities. I am especially proud of playing a lead role in exposing future attorneys to the opportunity to empower at-risk communities and contribute positively through our internship program.

You know we have to ask it. Do you have a favorite SLUH memory or teacher?
I had several teachers who inspired me. Mr. (Dick) Keefe never let my lack of French get in the way of our friendship. Mr. (Matt) Sciuto's junior year theology class taught me the urgency of the "examined life," and since then I haven't stopped observing, reflecting, and sharing the wonder of the everyday.

What topic are you most excited about in your industry?
At the moment, I am excited about cities' renewed interest in improving the lives of their own residents in a more equitable and sustainable way.

How are you acting as a Man for Others in your current role?
I have held a variety of roles, as teacher, litigator, researcher, and advocate. No matter the role, I have always sought to empower others, especially those who face obstacles in being heard.

What advice would you give to current students?
No path worth taking is straight and narrow. Take time to experience the world and the people in it. Stay in contact with your fellow Jr. Bills if you can: they will become extraordinary people.
