Mothers Club

Started in 1927, the SLUH Mothers Club is a vital service to SLUH. Through a variety of social, spiritual and fundraising activities, the Mothers Club provides a wonderful opportunity for mothers of current students to partner with SLUH in the development of their sons. Above all, the organization helps make SLUH feel like home to its young men. EVERY mom at SLUH is a part of Mothers Club and a "Mom for Others." Your contributions make a difference each and every day.

Mothers Club President's message

SLUH Moms,

As we begin this Advent season, I pray that you find joy, peace and hope in God’s everlasting love for us.

We are nearing the end of another successful calendar year at SLUH. Thank you to everyone who has attended or volunteered at our different events!  SLUHtique was a wonderful shopping experience; a big thank you to Allison Cunningham and Bridget DuMont for chairing this event!

The Janet Knobbe Viox Loyola Santa Shop takes place on Dec.1st.  This amazing community event is always a very rewarding experience to witness!  It is a blessing to see our wonderful SLUH family in action sharing joy, love and generosity.  Thank you to Jessica Espe and Kelli Stone for leading this event this year.

Adopt-A-Family is in full swing!  See below for details; HERE is the link to donate. This is another wonderful community event and is all about sharing and giving during the Christmas Season. Thank you to Jennifer Stein for coordinating this important outreach event for us!

May your 2024 be filled with peace, joy and love!  And if you have a few moments during this busy  Christmas season, give yourself the gift of quiet time to pray, journal or thank God for our blessings. Merry Christmas to all and God bless our SLUH family!

Warm regards,

Eliane Safar
Mothers Club President 2023-24

SLUH Community Service: Adopt-a-Family Drive - November 27 until December 8
Chair: Jenny Stein

The Adopt-a-Family Christmas Drive is sponsored by Campus Ministry and the Mothers Club.  Volunteering for this project is a fun way to get involved at SLUH and embrace the spirit of the Christmas season by helping those in need.  Volunteers will be needed as advisory representatives, collectors to receive and organize donations, and cheerleaders to attend morning drop-offs to help remind students to bring in their gifts.  Click the link below to access the donation site!

Janet Knobbe-Viox Loyola Santa Shop - December 1
Chairs: Kelli Stone and Jessica Espe

You are invited to play Santa as we bring the excitement of Christmas shopping to the students of Loyola Academy.  Donations of new gifts for all ages will be accepted in November.

The Janet Knobbe-Viox Loyola Santa Shop is sponsored by the Mothers Club. Much of the success of this program comes from SLUH Alumni Mothers Club Past President and past Loyola Santa Shop Chairperson, Janet. She was deeply passionate about the mission at Loyola Academy through volunteering, tutoring and teaching robotics. Tragically, Janet suddenly passed away in December 2020.

Donations for this event can be selected from the Amazon Wish List (link below) or you can drop off checks made payable to SLUH Mothers Club (marked for Loyola Santa Shop) for this very exciting Christmas event. HERE is a list of suggested items to donate. Please drop off all donations labeled "Loyola Santa Shop" at SLUH's receptionist desk (Ms. Sexton) by Tuesday, November 21.
