Opening Doors for Jr. Bills
Unique in our region, St. Louis U. High conducts need-blind admissions and meets 100% of students’ demonstrated financial need. Scholarship donors make it possible to admit any young man who shows the potential to succeed at SLUH. For more than two centuries, some of the world’s most remarkable leaders in industry, civil service and the Church started as Jr. Bills who received financial aid from generous benefactors. This tradition of scholarship continues today. Creating an endowed scholarship helps to ensure that this opportunity will remain a permanent part of the future of SLUH.
The Gift of an Endowed Scholarship Funds Financial Aid in Perpetuity
Tuition for the 2021-22 school year is $18,700, but the true cost to educate a student is $20,709. More than 450 students receive financial aid this school year with the average award at approximately $10,000. The school will distribute $4.6 million in direct aid for this school year.
The named scholarship program provides an opportunity for benefactors to give the gift of SLUH to future generations. Donors are able to honor and recognize significant individuals, such as alumni, faculty, or family by creating an endowment whose earnings will provide financial aid to SLUH students.
You can leave a legacy at St. Louis U. High by creating an endowed scholarship with a minimum investment of $30,000 for a partially endowed scholarship, $325,000 for a fully endowed scholarship or $1,000,000 for a Presidential Scholarship. "I have seen the weight that financial aid has taken off my mom's shoulders. It allowed me the opportunity to go to the best high school in the world. My two brothers and I hope one day to pay it forward and donate our own money to help a kid in our same shoes go to SLUH."
