Fr. Paul Sheridan Jesuit Partner Award
Presented to Chris Muskopf ’91 (Athletic Director)
In 2001 the Board of Trustees established an endowed fund to create an annual opportunity to recognize and reward a member of the faculty for their demonstrable support of Catholic, Jesuit education and for excellence in and out of the classroom. In creating the award, the Board has requested the academic administration annually select a member of the faculty who has – through their example to others – demonstrated the ideals of the Mission Statement of the school.
The Board realizes that there are many members of the faculty who are deserving of this type of recognition annually. It is the Board’s hope that by endowing this recognition it formally demonstrates to all faculty members that this institution will continue to be committed to recognizing the important role all faculty members have in the life and success of the school.
Jesuit Schools Network Award
Presented to Chuck Hussung (English teacher)
Presented each year to a member of the Faculty who exemplifies the “Profile of an Ignatian Educator” a document promulgated by the Society of Jesus to direct and inspire educators toward work with students aimed not only at academic excellence, but every bit as much at the formation of the heart and the soul of the person.
Caster “Dee” Byrd and Brother Tom Thornton, SJ Award for Excellence of Service
Presented to Mimi Hartung (Receptionist)
With this award SLUH recognizes a staff member who not only regularly displays an admirable work ethic and commitment, but also models and educates our community through their actions and values. SLUH has only been able to be successful in its mission of education and formation because of the tremendous service of the many men and women in staff positions that keep the school running and in top operational form. We have tremendous gratitude for all of the staff in Environmental Services, those in Administrative roles, Maintenance and Grounds and those who watch over the campus in Security.
