Oral Archive: SLUH Baseball Legend Steve Nicollerat
Steve Nicollerat, one of the most iconic – and important – figures in SLUH baseball history, personified excellence over 39 seasons through his steady leadership and principled approach. A member of the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association (MHSBCA) Hall of Fame, he is the winningest coach in SLUH history, earning 29 district titles (26 consecutive in one stretch) and three trips to the Final Four. Nicollerat retired from coaching at SLUH in 2018.
Today Nicollerat continues to serve as a Computer Science teacher at SLUH, in addition to helping organizations, coaches and parents transform baseball with Coach Baseball Right.
Enjoy a SLUH Archive conversation with Steve Nicollerat (published February 27, 2018).

SLUH Bicentennial Book
Available in the Spirit Store and online!
From a bishop’s vision for a school in a muddy river town in the early 19th century to a flagship institution for education and faith formation today, St. Louis University High School has lived an epic journey. To commemorate this 200-year odyssey the school has published To God, with Gratitude by Frank Kovarik ‘94, a magnificent coffee-table book filled with hundreds of fascinating stories and seldom-seen images. The narrative reveals painful trials—like the near closing of the school in the 1820s—and glorious triumphs—like Anna F. Backer’s teaming with the Jesuits to build a stand-alone campus. To God, with Gratitude offers the most complete history of SLUH ever assembled and is sure to captivate those whose lives have been touched by it.
Cost: $55 per book, includes shipping and applicable taxes, or $50 for pick-up at our on-campus Spirit Store.
