Eleven students from the class of 2020 have advanced to the finalist stage of the National Merit Scholarship Program. They include: Benjamin C. Andrews, Fitz Cain, Matthew P. Friedrichs, Christopher M. Hartung, Brian J. Jakubik, Peter L. Kutz, Gabriel D. Mills, Thomas S. Phillips, Thomas M. Reilly, Nicholas J. Vacca, and Noah S. Vanous.
More than 1.5 million juniors in about 21,000 high schools entered the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2018 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). Approximately 16,000 students advanced to the Semi-Finalist stage last September and, of these, approximately 15,000 U.S. students have been announced Finalists.
