COVID-19 precautions did not hinder any spirits, as the SLUH community enjoyed another successful Spirit Week. Student Council began planning the event in July to ensure a fun and safe experience for all students, faculty and staff.
The retro-themed Spirit Week consisted of three main events:
- A tailgate on Monday and Tuesday, which included outdoor games, a home run derby and video games. Members of the Tailgate Club also manned the grill, serving up hot dogs and hamburgers.
- An open mic on Wednesday evening in which students showcased their talent and creativity either in-person or remotely.
- A drive-in screening of Ferris Bueller's Day Off on Friday evening in the shared SLUH/ St. Louis Science Center parking lot.
STUCO as well as many other clubs, organizations and individuals collaborated and ultimately came through with another winning Spirit Week that underscored the resilience of the Jr. Bill spirit.
