Originally known as the "St. Louis U. High Club," the Fathers Club began in 1938 to support school activities. The organization played a large role in construction of the basement recreation room and the first major addition to the school plant. It also helped bring about parking lots, locker room renovation and the library. Today, the Fathers Club offers a number of opportunities for fathers of current students to partner with SLUH in the development of their sons.
View the various events and sign up for volunteer opportunities for dads and sons throughout the year below.
Please note: Some of our events do have a cost associated with them, but ALL events are open to ALL families. If you would like to participate in a "paid" event but have limited financial resources to do so, please contact Dr. Brock Kesterson, Assistant Principal, and he will be happy to work with you confidentially to make your participation possible.
Father-Son Mass & Speaker – Sunday, January 30
We are excited to welcome home Matt Sebek '00 as our featured speaker on Sunday, January 30. Mr. Sebek is the Chief Experience Officer of the new St. Louis CITY SC MLS franchise. He will recall his SLUH experience, talk about his professional career and give us an insider's look at all the excitement around the City's newest professional sports franchise.
Please note the updated timing and format of this event.
The evening will begin with Sunday Mass at 4:00 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Matt Stewart, SJ '98 in the Si Commons. After a brief break, Mr. Sebek will begin his remarks around 5:15 and conclude around 6:00 p.m.
In order to accommodate a larger group and in the interest of public health, there is no dinner served at the event this year. Families are encouraged to grab dinner together after the event at a SLUH- or locally-owned restaurant.
There is NO COST to attend. Space is limited to the first 500 registrants and masks are required. Students are invited and encouraged to bring any adult male VIP if their father is unable to attend.
Please RSVP using the form below and contact Connie Leinauer with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have plenty of volunteer opportunities to support our SLUH community! Please view and fill out this FORM if you are available to help with any of these upcoming SLUH events.
