Purpose:  Mom Prom is an annual tradition that provides SLUH seniors and their moms (or mother figures) the chance to share a fun and memorable night on the dance floor. A delicious buffet dinner is served followed by great music, dancing, and a photo-worthy atmosphere. It’s a joyful evening filled with laughter and a chance for moms to celebrate with their sons prior to graduation.

Purpose:  The Junior Ring Ceremony is a SLUH tradition that marks a student's transition to senior year. During this special event, juniors sign their class banner and then receive their class rings during a celebratory Mass. Following the ceremony, the Mothers Club hosts a cookie reception and refreshments for all junior families to enjoy together.

Purpose: Launched in 2024, Bunco Night is one of Mothers Clubs newer events—a fun, casual evening created to bring SLUH moms together to connect, laugh, and build community. Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or brand new to Mothers Club, this is a great way to meet other moms and learn about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities in a relaxed, welcoming setting. No experience necessary. Bunco is easy to learn and is all about the fun!

Brunch Menu: Frittata (vegetarian option available), breakfast potatoes, sausage, fruit, waffles, and donut holes. The cost is $29.50 per person with registration on a first-come, first-served basis. We will accept reservations through Monday, September 15, or when we reach capacity, whichever comes first. Register early to reserve your spot. 

Purpose: This cherished event, which began in 2002, is a special tradition that celebrates the bond between SLUH students and their mothers (or mother figures). It begins with a Sunday Mass held in the Danis Field House, followed by a brunch in the Si Commons. Whether it’s your first time or your last, this is a moment to pause and celebrate the unique relationship between SLUH students and their moms, grounded in faith, gratitude, and community.

It’s a joyful, can’t-miss tradition that kicks off the season with spirit and style!

Purpose: The Janet Knobbe Viox Loyola Santa Shop is a wonderful Mothers Club tradition held each December. This event brings holiday cheer to the young residents of Loyola Academy, allowing them to shop for gifts for their families donated by the SLUH community. Mothers Club volunteers help transform the space into a festive shop, assist the students with gift selection, and wrap presents to take home. It’s a joyful, hands-on way to serve others and spread Christmas spirit in our Jesuit community. 

Experience the joy of giving this holiday season by volunteering at the Loyola Santa Shop! The first Friday in December, Loyola Academy (near SLU’s campus) transforms into a magical holiday shopping experience for 4th-8th grade boys that attend the school.  We invite the SLUH community to donate new (or like new) gifts, create bows, wrap presents, sort donations, set up, and volunteer on the event day. During the event, the boys are paired with a SLUH mom to select and wrap gifts for their loved ones. Seeing the joy on these boys' faces as they experience the thrill of giving is such an amazing experience!  Hope you all will consider donating or volunteering to make this event a success!
