Jack Figge '22

Editor in Chief

Jack has been writing for the Prep News since the beginning of his sophomore year. Jack is also a dedicated member of the junior pastoral team and a core member of SLUH’s Men for Life Club. The oldest of six, Jack is a natural-born leader and is excited to take on the role of Editor in Chief.

Nathan Rich '22

Editor

Nathan has been writing with the Prep News since his freshman year. In addition to writing and drawing for the Prep News, Nathan is also on the tennis team, an editor of the Sisyphus magazine, and a member of the STEM club. 

Roarke Unrau '22

News Editor

Roarke has been writing for the Prep News since the beginning of his junior year. In addition to being News Editor, he is also president of the Tailgate Club. 

Charlie Bieg '22

Visual Editor

Charlie has been involved in the Prep News since the fall of his junior year by creating artwork to progress the visual side of the paper with the sports mastheads and designs to accompany news articles. He plans to continue this good work during PN 86. Charlie is also a member of the Circus Club.

Luke Duffy '23

Web Editor

Luke Duffy has been writing for the Prep News since early Freshmen year. He is the first Junior Editor in several years. Along with the Prep News, Luke is also involved in ACES and Youth Leadership STL. He is also a Sisyphus editor and a student ambassador. 

Jack Rybak '22

Core Staff

Jack started in this club by writing the rifle team articles for the Prep News his sophomore year. In addition to Prep News, Jack is also on the rifle and Mock Trial team. He is also a student ambassador and manages the varsity football games.

Louis Cornett '22

Core Staff

Louis Cornett has been writing for the Prep News since late in his freshmen year. In addition to Prep News, Louis is also on the Varsity Golf team, JV Soccer, and Youth in Government.

 

Jackson Cooper '23

Core Staff

Jackson has been writing for the Prep News since the fall of his sophomore year. In addition to the Prep News, Jackson also runs track and Cross Country and is a member of the racquetball team.

Staff

Peter has been writing for the Prep News since the beginning of his junior year. In addition to Prep News, Peter is involved in a wide-range of activities, including Mock Trial, Cross Country, Track and Field, and Men for Life Club.

Carter Fortman '21

Editor in Chief of PN 85

Carter wasted no time after being named EIC, launching the new and improved Prep News website a month before classes commenced for his senior year. Being named EIC during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Carter adapted to the everchanging world with innovative solutions, like producing a paper from home, ensuring that the paper kept to its weekly tradition. In addition to the Prep News, Carter was heavily involved in Mock Trial, Politics, Sustainability, and Band. He continues his education at Saint Louis University on their Presidential Scholarship, where he studies Finance and History on a pre-law track.  

Jacob Sprock '21

News Editor of PN 85

As a PN 85 News Editor, Jacob breathed new life into the entertainment section with crosswords and satires. He also wrote a column throughout the year about LGBTQ+ experiences at SLUH. In addition to his involvment in the Prep News, Jacob was an Editor for The Dauphin Yearbook, a Varsity Chorus singer and a member of Ongoing Conversations. Jacob is continuing his education at Quincy University.

Noah Apprill Sokol '21

News Editor of PN 85

Noah was involved with the Prep News for all four years of his SLUH career. He wrote the most articles of any PN 85 Editor. Along with the Prep News, Noah was involved in a wide range of activities, including Sustainability, Cross Country, and Band. He now attends Gonzaga University.

Luke Altier '21

Sports Editor of PN 85

Luke was a dedicated member of the Prep News team since his sophomore year. As PN 85 Sports Editor, he produced a documentary about the SLUH 1970 football team. In addition to the paper, Luke was involved in IBL and NHS. He is continuing his education at Wake Forest University.
