In the epic finale to the St. Louis U. High Scholar Bowl team’s season, the Jr. Bills played in the District Tournament, going up against two scholarly behemoths in Priory and Ladue. Although the team placed fourth out of seven teams by the end of the tournament, all the students played their best, demonstrating the growth of the Scholar Bowl team.

Scholarship, character, leadership, and service. These four pillars of the National Honor Society (NHS) shined bright last night as 134 St. Louis U. High students were formally inducted into the prestigious community of committed scholars, the most students inducted in SLUH chapter history.
The St. Louis U. High Class of 2025 gathered for Junior Ring celebrations last Friday after the half day of school that included a pizza party, banner signing, ceremony, and a dance.

Over the past few decades, St. Louis U. High has grown significantly and will continue to grow. Could this growth be beyond just SLU High? Almost two months ago, De Smet Jesuit High School announced that they would begin a sixth, seventh, and eighth grade for the 2025-2026 school year. Will SLUH follow in De Smet’s footsteps and attempt to start a middle school as well?
Studies show that 9/10 teachers at St. Louis U. High agree that you should avoid procrastinating your school work. But, the question remains, who is that one teacher that just plain doesn't care about their student's work ethic? Sources have revealed this man to be none other than Timothy O’Neil.
2024: the year of the grind.
Less social media. More sleep. Better grades. As some of Gen Z begins to embrace the concepts of self-care and routine nationwide, the St. Louis U. High community—young and old—seems eager to use their New Year’s resolutions as a way to catch on.
Sports
The St. Louis U. High volleyball team got back on its feet on Tuesday with a three-set victory over Chaminade. The win followed a rough streak of losses, including a 3-1 loss to Francis Howell Central the day before and a 3-3 match record at the Parkway tournament last weekend.
The St. Louis U. High Track and Field team continued its trek towards the conference championship with strong performances from all levels, finishing second in the highly competitive Winston Brown Invitational at Edwardsville, and a fourth place finish at the Kirkwood C Invitational.
The Jr. Bills traveled to our nation's capital last weekend to compete in the Gonzaga Classic, where they went head to head with some of the best teams in the nation. The Jr. Bills played in four matches and came away with two wins and two losses.
The tournament worked with a preliminary round where a team would play every team in their pool to determine their placing in either the Cup, Plate, or Bowl Championships, the Cup being the best and the Bowl being the worst.
St. Louis U. High golfers faced opponents Westminster and Priory while also taking a trip to Indiana to participate in the annual Lake Central Tournament. Their struggles seem to continue as they head towards the end of their season.
In a home match at Forest Park against Westminster, the Jr. Bills endured tough conditions once again. Clear, blue skies quickly turned into a downpour before the team could finish the match. Despite the tough conditions mentally and physically, the team took home a much needed win, scoring 148 to Westminster’s 140.
The red hot St. Louis U. High baseball team has faced setbacks this past week, as they were handed a pair of losses, including one from MCC rival Vianney.
Last Friday, the Jr. Bills resumed their game against Parkway West which had been paused in the third inning the day before due to rain. Freshman Cole Chambers had started the game on Thursday for SLUH and allowed no runs over three innings of work. Heading into Friday, the game was tied 0-0.
The St. Louis U. High Rugby team played its third matrix match last weekend against Eureka rugby. The Jr. Bills emerged victorious with a score of 32-17.
