Find Your Edge This Summer at SLUH: Camps That Build Skill, Confidence and Character

By Espen Conley ’11

Looking for a meaningful summer experience for your child? St. Louis U. High offers a wide variety of summer camps designed to build skills, confidence and character. From hands-on STEM camps in our state-of-the-art iLab to competitive and recreational sports programs, SLUH provides opportunities for students of all ages and ability levels. Whether your son or daughter wants to grow as an athlete, explore new interests, or simply have fun in a structured and supportive environment, our summer camps deliver an experience that lasts far beyond the season.

Build Skills That Last a Lifetime

At SLUH, summer is about more than participation — it’s about growth. Our camps are intentionally designed to develop the whole person, focusing on skill development, teamwork, discipline and confidence-building. Athletes improve through structured training that includes strength, speed and flexibility, while also learning the mental side of performance: focus, resilience and leadership. STEM campers build critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning in robotics and technology. Every camper leaves better equipped to succeed — in school, in sports and in life.

A Wide Range of Camps for Every Interest

SLUH offers the most comprehensive summer camp lineup in the St. Louis area. Students can choose from STEM and robotics camps or athletic programs including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, swim & dive, water polo, volleyball and wrestling. Many camps offer both competitive and non-competitive options, with sessions organized by age group and skill level. This ensures every camper — from beginner to advanced — finds the right balance of challenge, fun and development.

Coaching That Reflects SLUH Values

What sets SLUH apart is our people. Our coaches are directly connected to our school community, bringing a consistent philosophy rooted in integrity, discipline and service, with a strong emphasis on formation and developing Men and Women for Others. Guided by our Jesuit mission of furthering the common good, campers are encouraged to grow not just in ability, but in character. SLUH student leaders also play an active role in camps, creating a welcoming, energetic environment where younger students can learn from positive role models.

Top-Tier Facilities That Enhance Performance

Campers train and learn in some of the best facilities in the region, including a new track, upgraded baseball field, a premier wrestling space and high-quality athletic venues. STEM and robotics camps take place in our cutting-edge iLab, where innovation and creativity come to life. These resources provide campers with an environment that supports both high-level performance and engaging, hands-on learning.

SLUH summer camps are designed to be both challenging and enjoyable. Whether your child is seeking competitive development or simply wants to try something new, our programs are inclusive, welcoming and designed to build confidence. Our experienced and supportive staff meet each camper where they are, helping them grow in skill, connection and enthusiasm.
